I must say, Patterson is definitely the best apartment complex. GO THERE. haha

Things are going real well, I'm getting situated within the Disney College Program...started training...and everything is going well. The reason for this message is to tell you that from now on any messages regarding my work will be private for friends only- but even then- i don't know if I'll post them. If you have any questions- please don't be afraid to ask...just know that I'm quite new here, so I don't know that much yet!

So I thought I knew what was coming on check-in day.

WRONG.

It was the most stressful thing...lol. We stood in line for like four hours, when the temp was only like 48 degrees. I was cold, tired, and very confused. :) It wasn't all bad though. I made a lot of friends and have already met many from different countries.

Now on the second day, they gave us plenty of time to get to know the place. I have used the bus system a couple times now and I like it a lot. I visited Downtown Disney and Vista Way...it was fun. We also had our welcome party at the Patterson Clubhouse (which is right behind our building...i love it) called "Chip off the Old Block!" with Chip, Dale, Goofy, and Max! I have never seen Max in the park- so this was awesome!

The party ran a lot like a school dance...yet there was a different vibe. no one really judged anyone- so everyone was just acting crazy and jumping about. It was a great moment when I realized that everyone is basically in the same boat as me.

I am not taking any educational courses this program- but will take one or two if I extend later. well, I should go to bed...I have traditions tomorrow!

I am GOING INSANE. I leave tomorrow (cause it's 12am- so it's basically sunday). I can't stop thinking about Disney and all the madness that will come of being in the program. That's all I really wanted to say. The perfect way to explain my frustration is with the following:

"ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

Oh. and if anyone who wants to meet up once I get there on jan. 21st, just let me know beforehand! I'm planning on living in Patterson, but if things don't work out, Chatham would be my second choice, and Vista Way my third.

Today was a great day! (4 days till I leave by the way!)
I started out the day by hanging out with all my college friends at AQ- so I got to do a lot of catching up. It was great and I got to have some time with my friends who I probably won't get to see for a very long time. We talked, had lunch, talked some more- and I thought that would be it. Well, except for dinner with my bestest best friend Cassaundra! I couldn't wait for that cause I would get to see her once again before I left, which I didn't think was going to happen. So...I was walking into Perkins (the restaurant we were eating at) and I saw Cassaundra and went to hug her when suddenly out of nowhere I heard,

"SURPRISEEEEEE!" I turned to see a ton of people, people from church-from my highschool-from my college-from my family (including my sister who had somehow got out of the house without me knowing) all just sitting there. They planned a surprise goodbye party! AHHHH, I love them all so much. I am very blessed to have them all, and they are all very good surprise party planners- as I HAD NO IDEA.

I couldn't believe how many of my friends showed up. Oh and they paid for everything as well...oh am I going to miss them all. :'( I have amazing friends. I really do.

Hey everyone,

I'm still here in wintery michigan...only four more days until I leave for Orlando. I'm pretty excited- but, I seem to be having a bit of a patience issue. This week has gone so slow. It's probably because there wasn't much planned this week- as well as the fact- almost everyone I talk to is now in Disney. I'm happy that they're having fun and all...but boy- I am dying here! lol Though, I am glad for the time I have left with my family and friends here- that is the nice part.

The main reason why I wanted to post this post was to tell you guys that vlogging is strangely hard for me! lol Idk when I'll be able to get the next one out. I have finished about three different vlogs, but one was erased, another one cut my head out of the video, and i just hated the third. I'm just having a hard time coming up with these as fast as I'd like. So I'll get one out as I can, but I wish I could post those vids as fast as some of you fast vloggers! :/

Well, this might be the last post before I leave...and this might not be, who knows. I should probably go to bed. :)

So- i just wanted to let everyone know that I have everything but stuff like groceries, laundry detergent...a.k.a. stuff that I will have to buy later- but would like to start off with. That makes me even more ready to go, and I still have to wait a week! GRRRR-ness. It's weird to see the others I was talking to- who used to be REALLY excited to go- check in and all. I want to see them so badly...and I guess a week is nothing, but still.

Oh my word guys...THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING. THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING.

Back to packing nonsense, I bought three awesome plush dolls- a Mickey parade one, a regular Donald one, and a regular Pluto one. I think I'll either place them on this bookshelf I'm bringing or on a dresser or something. I also bought a mickey mug, for when I want to drink hot chocolate (cause I'm not a big coffee person). I love hot chocolate, no matter the weather outside- so anyone who wants to drink hot chocolate with me can do it anytime! Along with that- I have bought a Walt Disney World Guide for pleasure reading, as well as this HUMONGOUS Walt Disney Biography. My goal is to read the entire thing before the end of my program...you guys gotta know- this thing is HUGE. I'm pretty sure I'll have it done by the mid of my program, but whatever!

I guess that's it. Oh yeah- I've also spent like $100-250 now on preparing myself...yikes. Idk if that's a lot or little, but to me that's a lot.

So I'll see you later, I'll probably post once or twice before I leave. 11 DAYS LEFT!

Just cause everyone's doing em and I wouldn't of thought of these if I didn't make a post.

1.) Meet many new friends, as well as not be afraid to be myself around them.
2.) Drink SO much more water than I am now- while lessening the pop/caffeine.
3.) Be able to create and stick to a budget
4.) Call my family at least once every week or two.
5.) Become more independent.

:P A lot of these will just happen due to the CP, but I felt it appropriate to still list them. Hope everyone has a great 2009!

16 days left for me. :O

Since I know that there will be plenty to talk about packing, im preparing for it by just naming this post- packing part one.

My family does christmas a little different than most. We have our christmas on christmas eve, than have christmas with my grandparents and extended family on christmas day (confusing? haha). So basically what I'm saying is- I opened most of my gifts today- Christmas Eve morning.

While my sister was opening C.D.'s, t-shirts of her favorite band, a cellphone...I was opening up dress shirts, paper and envelopes, a mickey mouse calendar- all stuff for my internship. I couldn't have been happier though. Every gift helped me realize how real this internship is. That it was actually going to happen. I was actually preparing for the thing that will change my life...im so excited. I also did get the Rockband game and Rockband drums (cause I already own two guitars, and a microphone from christmases in the past)- so that was like my big gift- my gift to play with. So here is everything I have so far (both stuff I got before and after Christmas) to bring to Disney:

-Laptop, Laptop case, and Printer
-Camera
-Ipod Touch
-Playstation 2
-All Dvds (esp. Peter Pan!) and all video games
-Board Games
-Stereo
-Alarm Clock

-Posters, including awesome poster I just got today (it's not disney related- but that's okay!)
-My hidden Mickey guide to Walt Disney World (w/ step by step directions leading you to most of the hidden mickeys!)
-2 athletic bags for carrying clothes and lunch around
-Bed sheets and hopefully enough towels

I was also given a Borders gift certificate and a Disney Store certificate so I will buy some books for myself and with the Disney Store certificate- buy some more Disney decorations for my room. Some of the things I still need to get, and want to bring to Disney include:

-2 more days worth of Dress Clothes
-Hopefully a Disney beach towel, with sun tan lotion
-Oh and new flip flops.
-As well as Tupperware, lots of tupperware! :P
-And as I said before- more decorations.

I guess it's good that I'm writing this- cause I'm remembering more stuff as I go! If you'd like to take some ideas from this list (idk how you could, most of it is self-explanatory and you probably have all of this already) or possibly give me ideas that'd be great. I think I'm mostly set. With all my clothes here, maybe a few more pairs of shorts and t-shirts (cause when you're from Michigan, you have an overstock of sweaters-but lack on t-shirts) as well as the list above- I think I'll be set! :D I cannot wait! Sorry for the long post today!

I have nothing to say. I just feel like I haven't posted in forever so I'm just gonna say:

42 DAYS! YAY! Oh and once I hear back from my roommate, I think where we are going to stay is Patterson, and if we can't get into Patterson- it'll be Chatham. :P SO yeah. That's all that's happened in the last week.

Now back to working on finals and procrastinating.
